LOCATION AND VENUE
The conference will take place in the William Jefferson Clinton Auditorium situated on UCD Belfield Campus. The Campus map can be found here (http://www.ucd.ie/maps/UCD_Map_2014.pdf) The Clinton Auditorium is marked as building 35.
The opening keynote on 18th September 2014 is hosted by the National Museum of Ireland – Archaeology section. The Museum is situated on Kildare St. beside Leinster House, approximately 15’ walk from O’Connell St. and 5’ walk from St Stephen’s Green and is served by buses 39a, 46a, 145 which also serve UCD Belfield Campus. The Conference dinner will take place on Wednesday, September 18th at 19:30 at the Boulevard Café, 27 Exchequer Street, Dublin 2. The restaurant is located approximately a 10-minute walk from the National Museum of Ireland. Directions can be found here http://boulevardcafe.ie/findus/
TRAVEL AND ACCOMODATION
Getting to University College Dublin (UCD) - Belfield Campus
UCD’s hit the road service (http://ucd.hittheroad.ie) provide routes from anywhere in the city to Belfield Campus.
The following options are available from Dublin Airport:
• Aircoach (www.aircoach.ie)(to Leoparstown/Sandyford/Stillorgan) stops at UCD main entrance (N11).
• Airlink shuttle service
• Dublin Bus e.g 747, 16 (to the city centre or Central Bus Station – Busáras) which is within a short walking distance from O’Connell Street.
From Dublin City Centre:
Buses from/near O’Connell Street and Trinity College serving Belfield Campus or within walking distance include: 2, 11, 39a, 46a, 84x, 145. For other alternatives, please visit Dublin Bus website. Taxi ranks can also be found on O’Connell Street and St Stephen’s Green. Other options from the city centre include the DART service line southbound (to Bray or Greystones) that stops at Sidney Parade station, which is approximately 25’ walk away from UCD main entrance.
Long-distance bus service to Dublin Central Station (Busáras) is run by BusEireann (www.buseireann.ie) while trains service both Connolly Station (within walking distance of O’Connell Street) and Heuston Station (which is served by Bus 145).
